When it comes to PA amplification and live recording of cello, look no further than the d:vote™ CORE 4099 for Loud SPL from DPA Microphones. It includes a mounting clip meticulously designed and optimized for the cello, and offers a sound quality that's considerably more natural than an internal microphone or pickup, although its flexible design supports a variety of positioning possibilities.

The clip mounts on the C and A strings below the bridge, which provides positioning of the mic capsule right in the sweet spot between the bridge and fingerboard, offering a unique blend of natural string sound and high audio separation on stage

Standard gooseneck length is 5.5" (140mm), although it can be altered using the optional gooseneck extension unit (sold separately), adding another 50% to the length, and helping to locate the instrument's exact "sweet spot".

The 4099 range features a detachable cable from the gooseneck, providing more convenience for mounting the mic on an instrument before connecting it. Furthermore, the choice of different cable qualities makes it possible to tailor your mic to the specific situation, such as choosing the heavy duty 2.2mm cable for PA/Live gigs, or the easier-to-hide, thinner, miniature cabling for personal mounting on instruments where the cable weight may interfere with-and impede-your performance. And in case of a cable failure, service is quick and easy. Also featured is a MicroDot cable termination which opens the door for use with many leading wireless mic systems using a range of available adapters (adapters sold separately). These adapters provide you with flexible, simple, and affordable possibilities; no longer are you bound to one wireless system – as your circumstances change, you can just swap your adapter, rather than incurring the cost of a whole new microphone. And when you make the switch, you won't hear any loss or change in sound quality.

A powerful technology at the heart of DPA miniature microphones. From pianissimo to forte, you'll experience a more clear and open sound, with minimized distortion and increased dynamic range. CORE adds another layer of sound quality, from the ‘highest of the highs’ to the ‘lowest of the lows,’ further distancing these mics from their competitors.
