Introducing the hd Infra212, a high-performance subwoofer featuring a hybrid enclosure design engineered for the reproduction of extended low frequencies below 34 Hz. Its compact dimensions, coupled with exceptional power reserves and minimal distortion, position the hd Infra212 as a contemporary and versatile solution for large-scale touring and installation applications that demand extreme low-end response, high SPL, and precise control over dispersion.
Within its optimally tuned, vented, hybrid horn-loaded cabinet reside two special long-excursion 12” cone drivers with 4” voice coils. The presence of a large, air flow-optimized center reflex port ensures excellent air excitation with minimal turbulence and distortion. Covering a transmission range from 34 Hz to 120 Hz, the Infra212 serves as the ideal bass extension for all Harmonic Design speakers.
Thanks to its long throw, high efficiency, and passive directivity pattern, the hd Infra212 seamlessly integrates into LineArray applications, particularly with HybridLineSource loudspeakers like the hd HLS20 and hd HLS24. The subwoofer exhibits cardioid radiation behavior passively when two or three units are stacked up to 85 Hz or 65 Hz in forward radiating operation.
For added convenience, an M20 threaded insert on the top and side of the enclosure allows the insertion of a distance rod. The cabinet features protective skids made of high-strength PVC on two sides, along with corresponding recesses on the top, ensuring secure footing. Connectivity is streamlined through NL4 Speakon jacks mounted on the back of the recessed connector panel. Moreover, a Speakon socket in the protective front grille facilitates cardioid configurations without the need for special interchangeable cables.
